The gap

Access, not capability.

Korean space and Earth Observation companies, Satrec Initiative, SI Imaging Services, Hanwha Systems, Telepix, and a growing cohort of KAIST and KARI-incubated startups, operate at the technical front line of optical, SAR, and AI-driven downstream services. The assets are there.

Since 17 July 2025, the funding eligibility is there too: Korea is associated to Horizon Europe Pillar II on the same terms as EU member states. A Korean SME can sit inside a Cluster 4 Space consortium as a full partner, drawing on programmes routinely budgeted at €3M–€15M per project.

What is missing is the connective tissue, the European consortium networks, the proposal-structuring practice, and the call-by-call positioning that turns a technically credible company into a funded partner, in Europe and across Asia. KOREO Bridge is that connective layer.
